In 2010 Lisa graduated from the University of Guelph, with honours in Sociology, with her first career interest being social work. After doing some volunteer work in the industry, Lisa figured out that her passion for helping others might be better suited in a more hands on role. In 2011 Lisa enrolled at the Sutherland-Chan Massage Therapy and Teaching Clinic. Having successfully graduated in June of 2013, Lisa has now been practicing for 7 years. Throughout her studies Lisa gained valuable experience working with seniors in palliative medicine at Princess Margaret Hospital and spinal cord injury patients at Lyndhurst Rehabilitation Facility. Lisa has taken an interest in sports massage and reflexology with advanced post graduate training. Lisa has recently added the Gilbert Method, and some cranial sacral techniques to her tool box. She plans to dive into a cupping course next! Lisa’s particular specialty is with swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point release, myofascial release, sports massage, reflexology and lymphatic drainage. In Lisa’s personal time she plays on two COED softball teams, enjoys travelling, going to the cottage, nature walks with her three dogs, photography, painting, writing poetry, dancing, golfing, barre, pilates, and swimming.
