Nobleton Physiotherapy
FAQs

Below are some frequently asked questions by new visitors to our clinic.  If you cannot find an answer you are looking for below, feel free to contact us for more information and one of our staff will be able to assist you.

Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist or massage therapist?

You do not require a referral in order to receive treatment. Your insurance company may however require that you submit a referral from your medical doctor with your claim form. Call your insurance provider to confirm details of your plan.

Which services are covered by OHIP?

Any visit to a Medical Doctor at Nobleton Physiotherapy will be covered by OHIP.  Physiotherapy, Massage therapy, and Chiropody are NOT covered by OHIP.

What can I expect on my first visit?

At Nobleton Physiotherapy we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and attention to detail.  Before your first visit you will be asked to complete a clinic registration form, medical questionnaire, and any other forms required for your file (i.e. motor vehicle intake forms, WSIB, etc.)  These forms may take 10 mins. to complete so please arrive a touch early to complete so that we may utilize your full appointment time.  Should you wish to complete these forms ahead of time, contact the office and speak to our admin team to receive an electronic version of the forms.

Once you are ready, you will be evaluated and treated by one of our licensed and highly trained registered practitioners and he/she will also treat you during subsequent visits. Unlike some clinics, where you see someone different each visit, we feel it is very important to develop a one-on-one relationship with you to maintain continuity of care.  Your therapist may however identify that your injury/condition requires treatment from another type of practitioner. As a result you may be referred to another practitioner (i.e. sports medicine doctor) within NP as an adjunct to your treatment. The practitioners will, with your consent, work closely together to ensure that all your treatment needs are met and that your recovery is swift and complete.

Is there parking available?

When you arrive at Nobleton Physiotherapy you will find that we have ample private parking available for you.  There is no fee for parking.

What do I wear to my appointment?

You should wear (or bring) a pair of gym shorts/yoga pants and a t-shirt. For example, if you have a knee problem, it is best to wear shorts. For a shoulder problem, a tank top is a good choice, and for low back problems, wear a loose fitting shirt and pants, again so we can perform a thorough examination.

How can I pay for services?

We accept multiple methods of payment including:

  • Visa and Mastercard

  • Debit

  • Cheque

  • Cash

With your written consent, our administrative staff can electronically submit your claim to your insurance company (only applicable with specific providers – please inquire with our Office Manager regarding your provider).  Any difference or deductible will have to be paid directly to Nobleton Physiotherapy in order to satisfy our fee schedule requirements.

How can I arrange to see a specialist?

Nobleton Physiotherapy will be adding Orthopaedic Surgeon – Dr. Patrick Gamble in the Fall 2021. Your family doctor will be required to fax/email a referral to our office so an appointment can be scheduled.

Are your therapists registered or licensed?

All of the health practitioners at Nobleton Physiotherapy are registered as members in good standing to practice their respective disciplines in Ontario. Furthermore, Nobleton Physiotherapy requires that all practitioners participate in professional development courses and activities to ensure continual growth in skill and knowledge.
